I want friends who are wonderful people and ones who know how to be REAL friends and not stab you in the back the first chance they get! As for avoiding people with disabilities and such, no I don't. Just because someone is in a wheelchair, or has a disability of some kind doesn't make them less of a person.

I am looking for honesty and someone who excepts me as I am. I would never avoid someone because of a disability. I always encourage my kids to be friends with people who have them because in most cases they are true friends. I would however avoid them if they had personality traits I didn't like such as always being boo hoo poor me. I like people who have some self-esteem and enjoy facing a challenge.

I would never avoid beings friends with someone just because they had a disability. That is very shallow!
As long as I can trust someone and know they would never intentionally hurt me, I would be their friend.

I don't avoid disabled people, they avoid me. I don't know why, I think my 3rd eyeball scares people away. Even people without disabilities don't like me, therefore I am a loner. =^I
Oh well, I'm off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz.
Sorry! had to do that.

The number one quality I look for is honesty, is this person gonna tell me the truth no matter how much pain it may cause either of us? The second is dependability, is this someone who is gonna be there when I need them, cuz I know I will be there for them. It doesnt matter to me if the person is handicapped, challenged, or just plain nuts as long as they meet these criteria
