I have always had a normal cycle-28 days, practically down to the minute. 6 months after my son was born, my cycle lengthend to 35 days, give or take. Is that normal? Now that we are thinking about a second child, I want to know if this is going to be a problem.

my cycles changed to anywhere from 35 to 42 days after my daughter was born. i'm now pregnant with my second baby and it only took 2 months of trying to get pregnant. as long as you are in tune with your body and can figure out when your are ovulating you should have no problem getting pregnant again. good luck!

As long as you see a definate pattern, you aren't having irregular periods. Pregnancy changes a lot of women's cycles. My periods started when I was 11, and until I had my daughter at 25, I never saw a pattern to them at all. Then after I weaned her at 1 year, my periods came like clockwork, 33-35 days apart. Give yourself a few months of trying for the second baby and then consider seeing a doctor.
