It seems odd that I need a Tv liencence to use a TV ao play DVD's or game consoles. Why should I be paying for shows like songs of praise or other shows with that religous agenda. Im sorry but the TV lienence is not worth it as they replace external advarts with adverts on how great they are. I say make the BBC channels optional and if people want them then they pay a TV licence and not make the rest of us pay for shows you wouldnt watch unnless Christian or above 60.

I had heard that about Germany.....but as a Military Person, we don't....but we do have to pay for Kable to watch more than one channel.

I never heard of having to need a license to watch TV until moving over here. The following Link shows where you need a License to watch....

It is only the BBC that charge the fee in the UK, most countries who have a decent, non commercial service like the good old beeb do.
