I am nervous of going to a salon and I manage doing my bikini line fine at home. Is it dangerous to do it yourself? I have a steady hand and a high pain threshold so that doesn't bother me. Also can I get any tips for ingrown hair in this region?

Only if you have someone to help the hard to reach areas, you will bruise if the skin id not stretched tight. as for ingrown hair, you need to actually break the skin with a sterilized needle, then take some tweezers and pull it out. After it is all done I use hydrogen peroxide and polysporne so it will heal.

The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

Yeah, but I wouldn't recommend it. The hot wax, the inability to see what's going on down there, and the general shaky hand all make for a disaster. Best to use nair or a razor or go to a salon who does the waxing for you.

I suppose it is possible, but there can be safety problems with hot wax. I get a magazine for beauty therapy and they advise against doing these treatments on insurance (i.e. safety worries) grounds, so that will apply even more so for home treatments.
Is it really worth it?

Seriously, if your Doctor told you to do your own barium enema you'd tell him where to get off, I think the same applies here!
