if the people in africa are poor, then why are they having kids? they know they cant afford food for their children. Then why do they have kids?. How can someone soo poor have sex in their situation. Come on this is soo stupid. Thats why i dont feel sorry for them. Cause they have sex then get pregnant and the kids suffer after

what bothers me when they ask for money to help the children. why should we pay for the parents mistake?. they had kids and dont have money. come on

I guess because when nothing good happens, they have sex to make things seem "better."

I think it is related to economy, a lot of children means a lot of labor in the family, free labor to wit. Unfortunately a lot of those poor babies do not survive to be strong enough to work. Sex is a form of entertainment a also produces kids so it is just different cultural approach.

The situation is far more complex than you seem to know.
Birth Control ( please, Christians, leave it alone) is expensive too. Condoms and the pill, and patches and the like are out of the financial reach of many.
Africa is largely a paternalist society, where the man generally sets the rules. Do I need to tell you than men don't like wearing condoms? Add it up.

unfortunately for them it is part of their culture to have children. the ones that don't are frowned upon. remember these are very simple tribal people that don't have the same views that we have. check out some sites on anthropology of africa and tribal society. i thought the same way you do, but i have an uncle who is an anthropologist who broke it down for me very well. good luck and keep an open mind. people don't think the same and have different cultural values.

They don't have the means like we do in the states. They don't have the money or access to buy condoms or birth control pills. They aren't sexually educated on abstinence or being protected during sex.
And personally there are things we can do to help. We should be helping if we can....

finally, i found someone who ask a profound question. there's a noted professor ......... i forgot his name though ........ who argues the same point. is it wise feeding all the starving millions in africa ...... when after the present situation is resolved ......... the same problem comes back again ten years later even worse than ever. he's got every human rights and government agency going after his throat when he made that remarks. wish i remember his name.

Women usually don't have a say in the bedroom-or in the corner of the room whatever-they are raped a majority of the time. even if they didn't want to have sex with their husbands they would have no choice but to do as he says-they do not have the same rights as we do as women-we are very fortunate.

The missionairies in Africa spread the word of the catholic church, which doesn't allow people to use condoms or any kind of birth control. this is why HIV/AIDS is such a devastating problem there.

Because it is a basic drive, they don't have the resources to practice safe sex or other forms of birth control...
