I can’t find any good information on how they locate and splice fiber problems on transoceanic cables (TAT-xx). I would like to see some pictures but can’t find any real data on this.

I am thoerizing they locate based on the high power repeater power wires. But how do they get the cable grappled and lifted to the surface, etc.
