In terms of Computer, a bug is a fault in the Computer; be it software, hardware or Operating System.

It all started from the olden times system, there was a serious problem in those huge Computers (as it was in those days, which today is equivalent to the small PCs). It took many notions to detect the problem, but couldn't be detected. Ultimately, the problem was known, when the entire Giant System was open, and it was found that an insect was short-circuiting the relay.

From there onwards, it is referred to as a BUG.

Discovered in 1945 at Harvard, a moth trapped between two electrical relays of the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator caused the whole machine to shut down.
