Pre-med or biology major, take life drawing and other human based art courses for electives.

And you will want to bone up on your English skills. It is "grateful".

You might be surprised with my answer, but I swear I saw it on television by a very successful plastic surgeon. He said that when he was an undergraduate, he studied sculpture and art... he was able to use those skills in art as a plastic surgeon. When you really think about it, I'd want someone who really knew how to shape a nose to do my surgery!

Med schools rely primarily on MCAT, extracurricular activities and your GPA. The major you choose is less important than these other items. My recommendation is to take something that will be a good fallback should you change your mind.
