Why? because thwey are the longestb lasting Rock an' Rol Blues band in the whole wide world. Can your avefrage pensioner strut thier stuff like Sir Mick and his band of Educated Men (the Band were London School of Economics types).If it wasn't for these guys the Rock industry would have had no original satanic magesty. Black sabbath, AliceCooper, Marolyn Manson etc would have had no real role models. Why do people like Bob Dylen bvecause like the stones he's an institution.

I think they made it big when the Rock and Roll business was much less competitive than it is today. Although I like some of their older songs, personally, I have always thought they were overrated.

I think its because they have been around for a long time and they are still doing their thing and still good at it. I saw them in Sheffield on their tour they were amazing. I think thats why people still like them.

I don't care for them that much I like a couple of there song that's about it. But they are legendary in the music biz.

"Exile on Main Street" is one of the greatest albums ever produced. If you put the radio hits like "Satisfaction" and "Brown Sugar" aside, their greatness is undeniable!
