Chances are, if you don't know how to access the registry, you have no business being in it.
But since someone unwisely has given you the information, make sure you do a backup of it so that when you hose your system by deleting random things - you can restore it.

I'm assuming you mean to delete registry entries because you can't delete files inside the registry. You sure can mess up your computer though if you delete the wrong entries.
Goto Start --> Run -->
Type regedit or regedt32 (depending on the windows platform you are running) and click on the OK button.
You now have your registry window open. Good luck and be very careful in there.

What you are asking for is pretty high level stuff. Be sure to back up your system registry before making any manual changes...
To manually edit the system registry, open the start menu by clicking START, select "Run program" (or "Run"), and type in "regedit". This will open the registry editor window. The registry keys related to software on the computer are located in the LOCAL_MACHINE directory.
If you know the name of the software you are trying to remove, you will probably find it under "software" easily. Simply highlight the key you wish to delete and hit the delete button.
Again, I warn you: Editing the registry is NOT for "users". It's best that you find an Operator and have them assist you. And... ALWAYS BACK UP THE REGISTRY FIRST.

Regedit is the program that allows you to edit the Windows Registry. Simply click start, then run. Enter regedit and click ok.
You should be extremely careful when doing this because a bad registry edit could crash your computer. It's best to make a backup before attempting this.

If you don't already know how to do this, you might not want to go messing around with the registry. It can really mess up your computer if you aren't completely sure about what you're doing. Nevertheless, "regedit", like the previous answerer said, is the correct thing to do.

highlight the registry key you want to delete and right click to delete or press the delete button. Be very careful when editing the registry. If you delete the wrong thing, your computer may not work the next time you boot it.
