What do you want to know? The MWPA was introduced in 1886. It's main thrust was to ensure that property owned by a woman prior to marriage did not automatically pass to her husband on marriage, as was previously the case. It is largely irrelevant now, though some practitioners still insert a clause in financial agreements in court dismissing any potential claim under the Act.
