OK first of all I am a guy and I have never cheated in my life. I see cheating as a cowards way. It just means that the person who is cheating is wanting something else, and is to big of a coward to tell his/her gf/bf that its over. I have been cheated on a few times and it never get easier. So I do not think this is a fair question because of the main fact not all guys cheat. The ones who do are just @$$'$ and dont deserve to have anyone love them. And as far as the girls who cheat, well I dont like them either.

the question should be why does anyone cheat.
Some cheat so their significant others will do the breaking up. Some cheat because something is lacking in the relationship. Some just can't commit.
But none of this is right. They should be man enough or woman enough to have balls and break up with this person first. Plain and simple!

Speaking from frist hand experience I can tell you that Men cheat because of their own insecurities about being a man. Other men cheat just because they can, And some cheat because they are not satisfied in a relationship and dont have the balls to break it off. On rare occasions some men will see the damage cheating does to a relationship and actually mend their ways. Sorry if it happened to you, but trust me not all men are cheaters.

Because they can. When women start breaking a relationship off the first time they're cheated on, it might slow some guys down. Cheating is a deal breaker, no matter which one cheats.

I think a lot of it has to do with the role models they have as children... their growing up.
All of the men I know - who grew up in stable homes don't cheat. However, the ones that grew up with turmoil all around them... are often wandering around as they may!
I would have to say it is a personal CHOICE and the guys that cheat don't respect the women they are cheating on!

for the same reason girls cheat.
there's a complacency factor in a current relationship and an excitement factor in an affair.
if you're not married, this is less of an issue because there's less of a commitment and more of an exploratory approach in relationships (although it could be a bad habit to get into if you do ever get married), it can actually be a healthy thing as you can learn to discover what you're looking for in a relationship. However, if you're married, this is a lot harder to deal with...and many people can't reconcile it.
