i had a horrible day yesterday. and while i was driving home, i thought "life gets worse than this! i'm going to have to deal with deaths in my family whether i want to or not!"

that sucked. but it is life and i can't change it, i can choose to live or not live- that's about it. so i agree with you, it's a scary thought.

Yea that's pretty scary-if you actually like your parents. I do, so that's not something I want to think about. Right now I'm worried about my grandmother. I don't visit her nearly as often as I should, and she's been sick alot lately...
Those types of thoughts are good in a way though because they make you realize how precious time spent with family is.

You're not alone.

It's a fact of life and pretty much every person who ever lived has to deal with this. The sooner you come to terms with this fact, the better off you will be.

I dunno if I would call it scary, very upsetting and inevitable maybe. I don't think you can really prepare yourself for losing a parent, unless maybe it is a long time coming, like with terminal disease.
