Last night I kept feeling like I had something stuck in my throat so I went in the mirror and looked and saw a little bit of white in the back of my throat but if I coughed really hard chinks of it would fly out. So I stuck my finger back there to see if I could use my nail and dig it off but as soon as I stuck my finger on the back of mythroat it like popped and a hard white ball shot out of the side of my throat and into my mouth, so I coughed it up and spit it in the sink and looked at it, It was about the circumference of your pinky nail and smelled like nothing I have EVER smelled in my life, I wanted to puke. It is possible to have an infection in your throat and not know it, because the stuff was hard and soooo smelly it had to be an old infection or something, uhhhh! I am so grossed out!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax, it's pefectly normal.
Bits of food and such get stuck in crevices, and as they decay the immune system attacks them.
Yes, they stink. And yes, they can be quite annoying when they pop up.
Generally speaking though they are swallowed and you are none the wiser that they had ever existed. I'll find an article to link for a source and you can read a bit more yourself.
If it's something that happens too often for your comfort, or you feel that they are appearing more and more often, you may want to consult a physician.

When bacteria that collects on the tonsils consume mucus that has pooled in pits (referred to as "crypts") in the tonsils, a whitish-yellow deposit known as a tonsillolith is produced. These "tonsil stones" emit a very pungent odor due to the presence of volatile sulphur compounds.
Tonsilloliths (or tonsil stones) which occur in the crypts of the tonsils can only be cured by tonsillectomy or by sealing the crypts by laser. It is still possible to get tonsiloliths after removal of the tonsils unless a complete tonsillectomy is performed

My daughter has the same thing. The doctor said it was bacteria because for some reason her tonsils are inside out. He told her to gargle with a mouthwash. She uses hydrogen peroxide and water. Mix half water and half peroxide. Don't swallow it, just gargle and spit it up. It smells worse than **** does. Their called TONSIL STONES.

in the back of you throat there are little crevices where excess plaque can builde up. it helps to gargle with warm salt water occasionally. if you are very worried about it, see a doctor or a dentist.
