My husband and I were talking about this the other day. Since if your in that situation your spouse becomes the person to make all those decsions, I think they need to know exactlly what you want...I don't want to be a vegetable so I wouldn't want to be on life support if I couldn't recover. I do want to be reseitated if I have a chance a a good life, if not they can always pull the plug later. Yes I am an organ donor, I think If I can save someone elses life or the life of a child it's worth it. I don't care either way but my husband wants to be creamated and wants me to also so that our ashes can be together for eternity.
It would be a very hard thing to do, but my husband has made it very clear that he doesn't want to be on life supprt and would sign a DNR, so because I love him and want to keep him happy and at peace, I would pull the plug but it would be very hard. Then I would have him creamated and kept with me. Those are his wishs, we don't have living wills yet, but we are going to get them in th next couple months because we want to be prepared and don't want to have to fight with the families if something happens....

I would not want to be resuscitated, I would want every organ possible taken and used from me, I don't need them when I die, and I want to be cremated. I don't think being on life support is any way to live, I don't think its good for me or my family...I also don't really think being buried to be eaten by worms and bugs is particularly dignified, thats why I prefer cremation. I had my sister who is in Law School draw up a living will for me when the Terri Schiavo thing happened. I do not feel that a physical body that is breathing and has a beating heart is "someone" I believe a person is really their soul, so that if they are gone, they will still be with me. So I do feel that I could pull the plug if I had too, in fact I would do it out of respect for the person, you should not have to live any certain way if you do not wish.

Well lets first say. I would like to be cremated. Then let my family decide where to put me. But before I get cremated I want them to take any organs i have that are still useful, to help others. I mean I know my lungs wont help, liver isn't gonna be good but i also know i will probably have something else that someone else will need. As far as a will goes I don't have anything valuable yet so its not important to have yet....And if I was dying i would not want to suffer. I do not want to be kept alive with machines. Its just not right. And about pulling the plug on someone I love. well I would feel obligated to if they were truly suffering.

Honestly being buried or creamated doesn't matter to me. What ever is easiest for those who love me after I am gone I guess. And I have this is my living will.
If I should end up in a situation where I am on or need life support, I wish not to burden my family members, I'd want to be let go of, because regardless of a machine, we all have one moment to die, and when that comes there's nothing here to save you anyways.
And yes I am an organ doner. I'm not gonna need all those extra assets when I go to my afterlife.

Buried, not cremated;
I will have a will;
I'm currently signed up to be a donor;
I do not want to put on life support;
I would like the DNR clearly understood before it's too late;
I absolutely would pull the plug on a loved on because I couldn't bear to see them suffer.
Wow, this question was DEEP! But, it made me think. I need to make sure my family knows all this. I'm telling total strangers my wishes, but I don't think all of my family knows. Thanks!

I do not want to be a living vegetable. Pull the plug and let me die in peace. If someone can use my organs then please feel free to take them (it even says so on my drivers license). I also want to be cremated. No sense my body taking up extra room on the planet. I may have written a living will for a class I took in college but I probably need to write a more legit one. I have made it perfectly clear to my family what I want though.

sure. i'd be an organ donor when I get my license June 11. it isn't something i somewhat ought to imagine about because my mom has been very sick for the reason that i turned right into somewhat youngster. she has a ailment that kills off all of your organs till it progresses to the middle and also you recognize what comes next. My mom will maximum likely receive an organ transplant quickly and that i understand someone`s existence will be lost yet they signed the cardboard and that would shop my mom right here somewhat longer and that i choose i ought to in my view thank them for making that selection to be a donor. i'm prepared to grant my mom any organ that i'd have gotten rid of and nevertheless be alive. i will don't have any use for my organs when I die, so what precisely is the point of preserving them? i'd somewhat help keep a existence, it`s no longer costing me something.

I do not want to live in a persistent vegetative state so if there is nothing anyone can do...pull the plug, please.
I want to be cremated and turned into a gemstone which can be used in a ring or an earring. You can find out more about how that's actually done here - http://www.lifegem.com/
Yes, these instructions are written down.
Also...if someone I loved had instructions or a will, I would follow them to the letter...no matter how much it might hurt me to do so.
