i have been playing for over a year now. I started off with an encore guitar and its still the only guitar i own. I now want to get a more intermediate guitar. Im thinking ibanez, but what model do u recomend (bear in mind i dont rely want to go over £400)
Please help

It really depends on what type of music you're playing. My personal preference of the Ibanez line would be the JS200 Joe Satriani special, but that's me. Bear in mind also that there are a whole bunch of guitar manufacturers out there that make quality instruments at good prices. I play an Ibanez RG350DX. It's just under 400 dollars, but should be worth a thousadn. It's a really great guitar for that amount of money.

most of them are really nice. If you are into all sorts of wild sounds, get one that has dual humbuckers, locking neck tremelo,and probably oversized frets(25.5). If this is a learning process go with a standard sg50 or something in that line. Acousticly they are all pretty good just depends on the feel.
Lastly go to guitarcenter.com or to a guitar center near you. You can find something in your price range that should work nicely. oh and very cheap for what you are getting.
