I'm a "wannabe" of the first order. I guess in my little fantasy writing world I want to think I am a wordsmith. As I sit down to write, I never quite know what will flow from my head and down to my fingertips. It just appears. I often just allow my mind to let loose as my fingers dance while I close my eyes and imagine even yet another idea. I then open my eyes and am sometimes amazed at the complete and utter incoherence that is written before me. lol But at other times.....I'm stunned to see the thoughts that have emerged. I could wrestle for weeks with an issue that I just can't find a resolution to. Then writing about it, it all of a sudden becomes so simple.....so clear......so approachable.......solved.
I have written many things, most of which I hesitate to ever share. I spend such time molding each idea and forming it to fit into the frame I've created until I'm finally proud of what it has become. I think of my writings as I do my children. I give them their start, and then they take on a life of their own and grow and blossom into something extraordinary. But I always fear people criticizing my 'children.' I'm not sure I could handle the words that find fault in something that was created with such heart. So I keep my words to myself and write them for my enjoyment and pleasure.
And there is Yahoo! Answers where I get to write and play and have a blast with no pressure whatsoever. That is where the true fun comes in! As far as speaking. I LOVE IT. I suppose that is why I do what I do for a living. Speaking off the top of my head is just something that comes naturally. I love the challenge.....I love the pressure to think quickly, logically and clearly. Does that make me a wordsmith? *shrugs* I don't know. Does it make me "mouthy?" lol .......well ask my friends. **glares at a few on here knowing what they may say**
But regardless.......words are my life. So how about you?

I speak a whole lot better than I write. If it's a subject I know well, I'm great at public speaking, and even enjoy it.
But if I'm asked to write something serious, meaningful or eloquent I will usually fall short of the mark.

Yes, I do. I wish I had more time for my writing though. I write poems, stories, and short stories. Even in school, I loved writing papers and essays. I was on the yearbook, and newspaper. Now, my life revolves around work, but I try to do what I can in any spare time I have. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to when I was in high school because I used to write so much back then, and I wasn't too tired to use my brain or my imagination. Those were the days.

Once upon a midhizzle drizzle, while I drank up a Budweizzle,
Over many quizzle and drug-induced curizzle lore,
I fizzled and dizzled and den heard a knockizzle.
It was 5-0, my scizzle, "Tyrell, get yo gun and bar da door!"
