It will not ruin your eyesight to use another persons glasses. All these people that say it will are nuts. Glasses only work like a crutch. They correct the vision by aiming the focal point back to the retina rather than in front or behind the retina. If you use another person's glasses, youmay get a headache, you may not see well but you cannot ruin your eyes.

Are his vision issues the same as yours? Most probably not.
He is probably better off seeing a doctor.
Unless you are talking about off the shelf regular glasses that you wear for style - in that case.. hmm.....may be he thinks he looks hotter with those glasses - I would let him wear 'em .. just to make him feel good - after a ll you are a great friend right?

It depends on the scenario, it can cause damage unless the prescription is extremely close to his own, and otherwise probably won't correct his vision.
I used to be very very nearsighted till I had laser surgery. I don't need any correction now, so they say, but I lost my extremely powerful near vision that is a side effect of being nearsighted. I wanted to get reading glasses to get that back, but my opthamologist said not to because it would hurt my vision by making my eyes dependant on the glasses.
Wearing glasses that are weaker than you need but in the right direction (for example, nearsighted person wearing too-weak nearsighted glasses) it shouldn't damage their vision, it wouldn't correct it enough though.
Wearing glasses that are the right direction but stronger than you need allows your eyes to rely on them too much and will make your eyes go further in the direction of weakness (either farsighted or nearsighted).
Wearing glasses that are the wrong direction is like if they are too weak - probably won't damage but will give you a serious headache and won't correct the vision.

I wouldn't do it. When I 15 or so, I wore reading glasses because I liked them. I wore them all the time, I got headaches and it messed with my vision. I now wear glasses full time... could have been the glasses or just a coincidence... who knows. Love yourself for who you are!

Yes, it does mess up your eyesight because glasses are designed for that particular person who have that perscription. For those people who can't see a thing without glasses, they can't be going around trying other people glasses because that person won't be able to see a thing & we all don't have the same perscription

It depends on how long he's wearing them and how strong your prescription is.If he wore strong glasses 24/7 he'd probably mess up his vision after a while.

yes it can. the doctor puts enough medicine in the glass for that person to see. you may need more or the amount may be to much. so you need to be careful. If you don't need glasses then don't play around with them cause they will mess up your vision

It depends on how strong the persons prescription is and for how long the other person wears them. If he wheres them for a second its not going to hurt his eyes
