I have recently quit my old job where i worked for 2years (because company was loosing funding and my hours were going to be decreased, i am only a part-timer)for another job opportunity that came by. I worked at this new job for only one day and it just happened to be that i received a "better "offer from another company. I have pros and cons for both places and I am cofused about which decision to make.
1st job pros: good location, only 1hr train ride, decent pay, nice friendly office, not much growth opportunity---> type of company staffing agency and I will be a bookkeepers assistant
2nd job pros: not too great of a location, 40min driving, more pay (but not too much), small casual laid back office, growth opportunity, very flexible schedule (flexibility is very important to me since I am a full time college student), type of company-->real estate and I will be starting as a finance manager's assistant and will be trained to become a full charge bookkeeper.
Please help!

This is my 3rd year in college and I am doing a double major Accounting/BMF. My goal is to become a CPA. Both of the jobs will give me work experience for my future career

Your final decision on which offer to take is strictly up to you. From reading your question it seem like to me you are more interested in the 2nd offer. Quite honestly...if I were in your spot I would take the 2nd offer as well.
Considering that you are a college student you should keep in mind that a flexible schedule is very important. You also don't want to have big dry cleaning or clothing bills for the tailored clothes that you would be wearing to the staffing agency office.
In my case though...I'm not a college student, so schedule flexibility wouldn't be a priority, but I do prefer to have a shorter commute time (40 min drive beats 1 hour train ride), laid back office, opportunity for growth (translates to promotions and raises).
Congrats! ...and good luck! :)

Take the "better offer" financially.

Take the Real estate job. Here's why: The Real Estate market is in a down turn. However - it seems your salary is not commission and will not be effected by a slump. You will however learn a great deal in this position - in addition to the training you will get. SO take the offer on ly if you're motivated to learn something new in this position.

No offense but this is really a no brainer........Take the position with the 40 min ride, growth opportunity and flexability. You will be bored to pieces with the other job in 2 days.

Most definitely the Real Estate position. Your future will be more secure and you could open up all kinds of future opportunities in the field as you grow in knowledge. I hope you enjoy a very bright and happy future!!!

I would probably opt for the second one mostly because of the opportunity for growth. No one likes to be stagnant.

But mostly, you should choose the one that would give you most personal satisfaction. Personal satisfaction is what will sustain you in the long run.... Good luck.

I would go with the second option since you are pursuing education and flexibility is must. Plus as far as career is concerned it may change based on what you taken up in college
Hope that helps, good luck

I'd pick job 2 only cause of the higher pay and the lesser time of commute

Go with the second option! Definitely. It has growth potential... always go with the growth potential!

It's up to you. Are on probation in your new job ? If so, either party can terminate the contract fairly easily.

Continue with second job. Nothing is permanent.
