My laptop will not run Windows anymore. It lets me into safe mode on occasion (after about 10 tries), and I tried to do a System Restore in the Safe Mode, but it did not fix my problem.

Should I try to do another System Restore to an even earlier time, or is there a major problem with the hardware?

Maybe I should add that I accidentally hit the laptop, it then died right after I did that, and when I started it up again, that's when it didnt work anymore

See I figured that something may have come dislodged, but it's a laptop, I unscrewed everything, and the thing still wouldn't come apart, so yeah

Was the computer running when you hit it? Alot of laptops now have the anti drop feature most dont, but it sounds like you have jard the HD. Do you see anything when you turn on the PC. If you do, then its not your motherboard. Heres what I would do:
1) I would take the PC apart and look and see if I jard a cable lose, and if i did plug it back unto the port in which it came out of.
2) If option 1 did not work, i would contact the maker of the PC. Most of the time there is a Waranty on it. Then they will replace it, just dont tell them what you did "Hit It" or "Drop It" then they might fix it if you do.
3) Take it to a repair shop.
I hade a IBM that I threw and it did the same thing, well i did Option 1 and it fix it, my HD cable jard lose. Just try those options, I hope i helped.

Sounds more like software than hardware. Clean install from your disk that came with the computer.

Take it to a computer store that does repairs. Small stores will be your best bet.
