Can I wear tennis shoes as normal shoes when going out etc. or would that seem weird/look weird?

Sure...you can wear them all day and every day. Tennis shoes are the most comfortable shoes around..next to house-shoes. I don't see a problem with it.

Of course man! tennis shoez r cuul! so is tennis! I wear my tennis shoes more than my others, they are so comfy and give me good grip when running round corners heh!

it all depends on wear you plan to wear them out to and if they look dirty or clean. if they look clean and you are going out to the movies, to pay mini-golf, bowling, or just hanging out, yes i see no problem with that. but to a nice restaurant and /or a party at someone house or school, then no, i would think u would like to look a bit more put together

tennis shoes looks great with jeans or cargo pants-- so go for it!
