i have been recently having sex with my bf, we always use a condom however last week it split i took the morn after pill. i now have what seems to be virginal thrush, however as i havent had this before i dnt know, i have a discharge that is white and thick. yet it dosent smell. When i read anything about thrush it says the discharge is like cottage cheese? Well isnt cottage cheese lumpy? if so i havent got that. Pls someone help i cant ask any one.

if you go to a doctor, and you have thrush, the doc can cure you.

Oh you poor thing you must be really upset and worried.
First of all thrush does not necessary come out like cottage cheese and the white thick discharge seems more like thrush especially if itchy.
Second you need to go to the chemist and get some Caniston cream and pessary it comes in one box. The pessary goes inside like a tampon and the cream rubbed on the outside. VERY IMPORTANT your boyfriend needs to also use the cream on his penis as if it clear with you and he is not treated you WILL GET IT BACK> So both need treating straight away.
Third please go to the doctors if possible and make sure it is thrush or you can go to your local family planning clinic (look in directory for number) if you feel to embarrassed to go to doctor.
The family planning clinic will really help you and talk to you about contraception.Good for using a condom by the way sensible young lady however they do have a down side as you discovered and you may need to think of something besides this as morning after pill is so expensive. Always use a condom what ever you use in the end safe sex.

Ignore most of the comments on here that people have made, they are very insensative.. I do believe you have thrush, but if you go and see a nurse at your clinic they will do a very simple and painless test. If you really do not want to do that, go and buy Canistan.. which you have to insert up your vigina, some come with pills also to take. This will stop any itching you have and will clear it up quickly. Good luck

Its not necessarily thrush because of the fact the symptons don't fit exactly with what you've described. Did you know thrush can just come on - it isn't only a sexually transmitted disease? Whatever you've got, you should get yourself checkout properly at the doctor in case you've caught something with no symptoms or to confirm whethers its thrust or not, better safe than sorry and only a trained medical professional can tell you this - its not scary getting checkout out, just relax and remember its for your health!

It could be thrush. There'll be mega itching with the discharge if it is.
You can buy Canesten Duo from the chemist, which is a pessary to clear up the thrush, and a cream to soothe the itching.
All women get thrush some time or another, and is nothing to do with hygiene (or lack of) or sex, so please don't worry. :o)

It will be itchy, sore and very red down there. The discharge isnt lumpy just white and thick (2much info- sorry). U can buy over the counter creams and tablets but go the doctors and tell you b/f 2 go 2, cuz men can get it aswell and im sure u dont want it 2 develop in2 herpes...

No cottage cheese is supposed to come out so don't worry. Go to the chemist and buy some canestan. You can either get it in cream or pop in pills. If it doesn't clear up go and see your doctor. They've heard all these quetions before so don't be embarrassed. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Go to the chemist and get a tube of Canesten, you and your boyfriend will both need to use it, if it hasn't cleared up in a few days your going to need to see your Doctor. Ive had thrush before, its just one of life's irritations!!!!!!!!!!!! But as for the cottage cheese bit, Ive never heard of that!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, It sounds like thrush to me, I had it recently and it was really itchy too, I went to the chemist and bought Caneston Once, and within a few days it was all cleared up, please dont worry about it all us girlies get it at some point in our lives! If you are still getting symtoms after you have used the Caneston please please go to your GUM clinic usually found at your local hospital or a well women cllinic ring your doctors for details!
Please dont worry about this you sound like a very sensible lady, Im sure it will be cleared up soon. Most supermarkets stock Caneston too in the pharmacy section! Good Luck!

To start with ,how old are you ? thrush isn`t bad it can be sorted with cream or a pill ,It could be something completely different if you don`t want to go to the doctor go see a pharmacist they will help good luck
