It depends on your tolerance for pain, the size of the tattoo and location. A small one on your finger should not hurt that bad. It feels like being stuck with a small needle but it goes numb after a minute.

First of all, I would not suggest getting one on your finger. A lot of jobs look down on people with exposed tattoos and such. Secondly, everyone's pain tolerance is different. Some people pass out, some people it doesn't really bother, it just depends on the person. Best advice is to start small and work your way from there.

it really depends on your pain tolerance and where you want it. if its on a bone, it will hurt more, if its somewhere where the skin is loose, like your foot, it will be more difficult, etc. also, it depends on size, the longer you are getting it done, the more it hurts. for a small one on your finger, i would say that it wont really hurt too bad. it will be small, and on skin that is relativly tough because its on your hand. the only thing that may hurt is being on a bone, that could feel pretty ouch-y. If you really want it, i wouldnt let the pain dicourage you. but if it really scares you, maybe you should try talking to the tattoo artist.

I've heard that many tattoo artists won't do hands - anyway, I have one on my hip & it didn't hurt much at all. It feels like a constant rubbing with, say, like a safety pin. Try it on the finger you want tattooed.
I think the amount of pain you have depends on where your tatoo will be located.

Depends on where you put it. On the finger would be painful because there's no fat there and the needle would be pushing too close to bones. Feels like being stuck by a needle. For example when the doc pricks your finger to check blood sugar.

honestly it feels like when you are getting a bug bite and you tart to sracthed it to the point of the skin turning red. then ou need to put a&d ointment for two weeks until it heals. you can not touch it, go to the ocean or pool, can not let the sun hit it.
now, why would u want to get one done on your finger? remember this is for the rest of your life and if in the furture you want to laser it out, they say that taking out a tattoe hurts way more than getting it done in the first place.

That would depend on your pain tolerance. I didn't find it bad but I've got friends that said they cried. I guess the closest way to mimmick it would be to take a fairly sharp toothpick and poke yourself on the figure a bunch of times really fast.

Really, really bad. Take a bullet to bite. and a rag to wipe the sweat from your forehead. Also, make sure that your insurance is paid and up to date in the likely chance that you get an infection or aids from the needle.

It doesn't hurt that much.It depends where you do it and how big it is.What hurts the most is when you color your tattoo. When you are getting your tattoo it feels like needles pocking you.But its not that bad.

it depends on where you get it done... the fleshy parts of your body might be sore afterwards but they won't hurt as much as getting a tattoo over a prominent bone
