I'm a 14 y/o girl, I'm having scoliosis surgury next monday and I want to know if anyone else has had this surgury and what it was like!!They are going to take out a rib and use it to fuse my spine straight!! I'm really nervise!!

take it from me! i worked in a spine unit and repair of scoliosis is 100% safe and effective, and the result is amazing, you will feel a little pain and its normal to be anxious! good luck girl and dont forget to deep breath and cough after suggery! by the way scoliosis is best corrected during teens!

This type of surgery is not common on people of your age. Sometimes is caused by malformation in the bones of the region involved, or ergonomic cause, due to sitting on a tough chair.
