Is it true that in the state of VA If your ex sells his home it is considered earned income which will increase child support ?

The proceeds from the sale of a house is not earned income, but it will increase his net worth!! Check with your attorney if you feel an increase is warranted for the benefit of the children.

No it wouldn't be considered as income, that and your home should have been in your divorce decree as far as who got what in the sale of your home, as for being a Father that pays support.........GET A JOB!! Stop depending on a man's income so you can lay at home and be lazy!....If you have a Job good for you, if it's not supporting your lifestyle Cut back, Remember it's CHILD Support, NOT Ex wife support!!!

I don't know, but i think it is wrong for them to use that as income because he has to pay for other housing.

Only the profit made on the house. Is it being reinvested into another home? That changes things.
