my notebook works on electricity but I still keep the battery attached to it. Is that a problem? When it runs on electricity, do I have to remove the battery? Does the battery get damaged in any way? Please help! Thankyou.

No, it wont be damaged, just plug it and work on your laptop.

No, that's not a problem.

You should be aware, however, that certain Dell and Apple laptops explode for no reason at all even if they aren't plugged in.

battery doesn't get damaged...it already is since you cannot recharge it anymore...

keep it in doesn't help or hurt...but it keeps that empty void covered so leave it there
