Ok, I would go to the Hardware store and get one that sits on the floor. All you do, is screw in two screws, after you situate it to where you want the door to "stop" and that will be it.

I would NOT get one that goes behind the door, and is up in the air, because kids have a tendency to "hang" on things like this.

I would just get some filler and fill in the hole and paint it what ever color the bathroom is, and be done with it.

The one I am talking about is a half-moon, and it will stop the door in its track and not have the handle hit the wall..(another thing kids love to do, slam it into the wall and make that "moon" indent, and you have to fix it too:)

I wish you well..

If you have a solid door you may choose an alternative type of stop. Most hardware stores will have the type that sits in the hinge of the door with an adjustable rubber stop. However, I wouldn't recommend this for a hollow door.

Buy another one and some wood filler because it's best to seal the old hole and insert the new stop into a fresh hole; make sure you make a "starter hole" with a small drill bit (smaller then the actual stop "screw") and just twist it in; should take more then 15-20 minutes to do everything; paint over the old hole, of course, once the wood filler had dried!
