IIRC "The Good" (Clint Eastwood) starts to ride off leaving "The Ugly" (Eli Wallach) standing on a rickety cross with a noose around his neck - that said, it's yonks since I saw the movie so I stand open to correction

Clint eastwood rides away with gold. When he is a good distance he turns and shoots the rope and Eli Wallach falls face down into the dirt. He scrambles up and shouts "Blondie you no good son of a b" and then the theme cuts in..

at the end when Tuco with his hands tied running after Blondie and the music cuts the end of his curse,Sergio like Hitchcock wanted to leave you pondering the end, unless off course was thinking of a fourth films where Tuco starts another vengeance trail after Blondie
