IIRC "The Good" (Clint Eastwood) starts to ride off leaving "The Ugly" (Eli Wallach) standing on a rickety cross with a noose around his neck - that said, it's yonks since I saw the movie so I stand open to correction

lee van cleef is dead and lying in the open grave.
Eli wallach is standing on the cross with noose around his neck.
Clint eastwood rides away with gold. When he is a good distance he turns and shoots the rope and Eli Wallach falls face down into the dirt. He scrambles up and shouts "Blondie you no good son of a b" and then the theme cuts in..
