I think you're giving in to a very big stereotype about Christians, which is unfortunate that we've given you reason to. Something we need to remember is that, like with all religions, no one can completely live up to everything that they should be doing. Christians can say all we want about loving our neighbor and not lying or cheating or stealing or lusting...however, we are going to all do it sooner or later. A Christian belief in the Bible will tell you that as well ("for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"). With that said, it doesn't excuse the Christian response to gays.
If all Christians were to fully comply with the teachings of Jesus then homosexuals wouldn't think that we hate them. Unfortunately many Christians have become a little too zealous and think that the best way to witness is by condemnation.
One other thing is to make sure not to confuse judgment with accountability. Of course, do Christians have the right to try to keep non-Christians accountable based on a biblical view of right and wrong? Certainly not.
With all of that said (and I'm sorry it's a lot) it is not the Christian faith that seems to hate gays, it is zealous Christians. I'm sorry that you've have to see that side of Christianity and I hope that you'll be able to encounter Christians that truly exemplify the love of Jesus.

Christians aren't against gays. They are just against gays getting married in a christian religious ceremony. Not that I'm christian or against gays in any way, it's just religion that a man and woman be married, and nothing else. Don't take it the wrong way.

Anti-gay isn't a Christian stance, it's a Church stance.
It is possible to be a Christian and let gays or whoever mind their own business. I never read about JC condemning people for this reason or that reason.
I think Christianity is the system for trying to be Christ-like.

It is important to give, and we are against being gay because the Bible says God intended for man to be with woman. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. We are meant to be fruitful and multiply. If everyone turned gay, then the human race would disappear. You can't reproduce with two penises or two vaginas. We love gays and pray for them, but we don't agree with their lifestyle because it's God's wish.

Christians are down on anyone who don't believe in what they believe in, they feel they are right and everyone else is wrong. They are judgemental and seem to pay no attention to the commandment "Love Thy Neighbor" The thought of heavon is a turnoff if you have to spend eternity with people who believe they are so much better then everyone else.

Christians are not against gays. They just find it an abomination before God and nature.
It is more like gays are against any standard tradition that says they are wrong.

I am gay and all the time we are told how sinful and terrible we are for going against God's will.
But - I don't care!
I'm not going to stop!
They do seem to target gays more than any other "sinful" group - liars, adulterers, those who work on the Sabbath....
So really, my take on it all is, they are venting their own personal hatred of homosexuality, and using their God's words to justify it.

I wouldn't DREAM of answering this question as the representative of entire group of people - Christians come from all different churches and also walks of life. It would be assinine to represent the entire group. YOu can only share what you personally believe or what your church says to believe but please don't attempt to cover all Christians. That's about as silly as saying, "All Blacks believe..." or "All Whites think..." NO way can you do that and be truthful.
