My dad used to hit me on the head or even kick us if he can't find a cane. He also will not hesitate to grab any household item like bamboos or computer wires to whack us on our leg.He really becomes a different person when he's angry and im not exaggerating:(

I dont know about child beating, if that is how you were brought up , I am sorry to hear that, I had a friend who died from being beaten for a bad grade, his head hit the floor hard, his dad is in prison, I dont even think they were voters, I dont get why bash a conservative when there are conservative democrats, liberals and republicans and condoning vviolence like you just did is very sad, it says alot for what type of a person you are...I am sorry for your poor childhood, but, realize there are people out there who do and had suffered from these things and its not something to laugh at, shame on you....

I wasn't ever beaten as a child. I grew up in a liberal, working class home. When I was a kid, I thought I was a Democrat. Then I grew up, my brain matured and I decided to find out what DEM/REP/LIB/CON was all about and realized I am a conservative Republican all the way. I am not for big business or a war monger. I am, however, a hard working middle class person who believes that everyone who is physically and mentally able, should take care of themselves. I believe we should stay aware of what of government is doing and support them the best we can. I believe the government does not need to take my money and give me what they think I need as I am perfectly able to take care of myself. I am a proud American.

I was never BEAT as a child.
I was raised with
1. Discipline
2. Morals and values
3. Personal responsibility and consequences
4. And most important... MUCH LOVE!
EDIT - those are the parenting traits that lead young children to grow up and be conservatives...
Liberals
1. Anything goes - free to be whatever deviant you "choose" (you can't tell me what to do...)
2. atheists and agnostics
3. Blame society
4. FREE love

I got whipped...INTO SHAPE!
Corporal punishment is taboo, but the alternative has been cell phones, personal assistants and video/audio players and a continual degradation of intellect at the KINDERGARTEN level.
We treat kids like kids, way into adulthood. We have 40 year old women getting tattoos. We have 40 year old men afraid of marriage. We have watered down academic curriculum to the lowest common denominator. We teach math and science and history in American schools in languages other than English. We even charter schools that go out of their way to ethnically profile their students before admission. We have teachers banging students and having babies with them. We have high school coaches molesting their players. We have mothers with still born children gutting pregnant women for their unborn babies. We have abortions without parental notification/consent. We have made Christ a social demon. We have made Islam a religion to be feared and respected because of its violent practice, and not on the merits of its peaceful work in society. We have protected the rights of criminals more than we have protected the rights of victims. We provide conjugal visits for prisoners and separate husband and wife to defend our nation in a time of war. We provide free medical/dental care for Guantanamo inmates and let the rest of America doggy-paddle for coverage and medical attention. We close down emergency rooms and hospitals because they are used for non-emergency healthcare by non-citizens, and then we ask the premium-paying citizens to pay more premium.
SOMETHING is wrong, and its getting closer and closer to a situation where the sparing of the rod has truly spoiled not only the child, but also America. I don't claim spanking your kid will solve America's upside down moral and political climate. But we've lost our collective mind when we incarcerate border patrol officers who shoot drug traffickers and we are forced to handle Korans with rubber gloves for fear of offending known terrorists who defile their Holy Book themselves.
Bring out the paddle, it's been whipping time for a while now!

Enough to respect my father who administered the whipping. Only once that I can remember - assuming you are talking about a whipping-, and, I was asking for it by talking back to my father. I think I was 4 or 5 at the time.
Some of the people that post on these boards could have used a good whipping in their formative years, perhaps they wouldn't be so snotty today.

i was never beat as i child i was just taught what was right and wrong..as i grew up i realized that loud mouth uniformed liberals probably could have used the beating.

not conservative but you cant tell me what to do. we are free to answer any question. i didnt get beat, did you? if so im sorry. if your just trying to piss people off then youll prolly do a good job. but why try to seperate your countrymen more then they already are?
