Yes. The secretary of state is appointed, as all cabinet members are by the Commander in Chief.

I don't think he would do it though. I would be like an office manager being demoted to mail room clerk.

He enjoys workinnf on the Clinton Global Initiative and, frankly, is getting more done than government because thier is less red tape.

The President of the United States of America has the right to choose any citizen as Secretary of State. even ex presidents.

Not unless they divorced. The 1978 Executive Accountability Act (aka the Bobby Kennedy Law) forbids the President from appointing close relatives.

Yes, there's nothing to prevent former Presidents from holding other offices. William Howard Taft was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after being President. BTW, he said he found that job vastly more enjoyable than the presidency.

Also, the constitution doesn't TECHNICALLY bar him from being vice-president. It states that if you have two terms as president then you can never be ELECTED president again.

No, he couldn't. After you're president, you can't have a job again. You can do speeches and things like that, but you can't hold a regular job again.

He can be anything but VP. Mind you any cabinet appointment would be subject to senate confirmation.
