I don't think that's rude. I think the reason women are touchy about age and weight is because they could be judged by it. If a woman weighs less than she looks or is younger than she looks that creates insecurities and sometimes shame. However, the size of someones feet is totally uncontrollable and feet aren't as important as age and weight because they are vanity issues, where as I don't believe feet are. Whew, hope that makes sense, that's my theory anyway!

I don't think it is rude......your feet are like your ring size.....or your prescription glasses/contacts. It is no big deal. With that said I had a neighbor that almost had a heart attack when I asked what size shoe she wore. She said, " That is rude but I guess I'll tell you." I never knew people even cared until I ran into her. So apparently some people in our society think that is personal information and should not be given out. Oh well.

I'm not sure why you would want to know but I would tread softly. My sister has size 10 feet, squishes into a size 9 and claims a size 8 1/2. You might want to consider how sensitive she is and how bad you need to know.

I don't think its rude. Some women don't like to say, "yeah I have hudge feet size 9 in men's shoes" but I have a 7 woman's and I think it's ok to ask.

Good question. I would think that some women might be sensitive about the size of their feet, especially if they're larger than average. A woman with small feet might be self-conscious about it, or she might be proud that they're so "dainty."

I would approach this subject with caution. Good luck!

I think that goes up there with weight and age, but I have big feet and prefer not to advertise it.

Asking a lady about the size of her ANYTHING is in poor taste. Besides which, it can get you a black eye. Best solution: an educated guess.
