Good Luck.

if the only thing that hurts at 39 weeks is your pelvis you are LUCKY! But at 39 weeks any pain that is out of the ordinary is more then likely your body starting the labor process. If this is your first you will more than likely have a generally long labor but better safe thn sorry, call the doctor and see if he/she would like you to come in and get checked for any dilation or thinning of cervix, they may also put you on a fetal monitor and monitor for contractions.

Your baby is moving it's way down because it's getting ready to be born. It's nothing to worry about. The fact that your baby is kicking a lot is a very good sign. You want to feel at least 10 kicks per hour or else call your Doctor. When I was PG, my Doctor called them "kick counts" and you must count 10 in one hour or call your Doctor. But the pain is normal, as your baby is moving it's way down and the head is right there pressing on everything inside of you. Good luck!

Your pelvis hurts because the baby is postioning it self getting ready for birth. I'm surprised that the baby is still kicking so much this far into your pregnancy. Don't worry your almost there anyways. One more week!!

Sounds to me like your baby has dropped into the birthing position.... causing pressure... Three of my four children caused so much pressure I felt like I didn't want to walk in public places because of pain. The fact that baby is kicking a lot I think means that he/she is just healthy. I was bruised for a month after the 1st boy baby cause he was so big and strong that his kicks left bruises.

Your pelvis is getting ready for the main event...it is opening up to make room for the baby to pass through...

Oh i feel so sorry for you. I remember the pelvic pain i had when i was 39-41 weeks pregnant. It was at it's worse when i walked, when i tried to get in and out of my truck and when i repositioned in bed. It got so bad that i cried constantly. It actually felt lik my pelvic bone was dislocating. To answer your question, the pain is due to loosening of your pelvic ligaments which allow your hips to loosen to allow room for baby. The only way to get rid of it is to have the baby...sorry to say. Anyways good luck!!

Im 35 weeks and mine hurts when I walk to. My doctor says it is because your pelvis bones are loose to allow the babies head to fit through.
