how much is it worth? why do people say it doesnt exist?

If you actually had what you thought was a rare coin, you would want to send it to one of the major independent grading services.
Among other things, if it came back certified genuine, it would be much easier to sell. 98% of all coins like that come back having been judged altered (genuine coin with an altered date) or completely fake.
As another example, I see hundreds of 1949 dated Mexican One Peso coins with altered dates for every genuine specimen. 1943 'copper' US pennies are another heavily faked coin.

You do not have a 1913 Liberty head nickel. There are only five and all are accounted for. No one with one, would be on Yahoo answers, asking about it. It is a multimillion dollar coin. They are not to sure who it was at the mint, that actually made the 5, the powers to be can't make up their minds . There are a lot of copies out there, some made before the hobby protection act, so they do not have the word copy on them. As for people saying it does not exist, they are not numismatists and have no idea what they are talking about.

It would be a counterfeit because buffalo nickles were minted from 1913 until 1938. i think you are trying to trick us

go to a bank and just see how much it is worth or if it is even real.
