Who did you like say 10 years ago? My personal current faves are Nickelback, Shinedown and System of a Down. Ten years ago I would've said GNR, Pearl Jam and Metallica.

After Rockstar Supernova, I would say they are the newest to my list, but I love the Crue, Def Leppard, GNR, Metallica, and the Scorpions.

My favorite *current* "hard rock" would have to be Tool. They're dynamic and moody and Maynard is one twisted lyricist.
10 years ago, I was insanely fond of Deftones, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Stone Temple Pilots and Tool.

Tool is great and I still hold out some hope for Metallica. Also, check out Mastodon. What I've heard has been awesome!

ten years ago and now, pearl jam. and they have only gotten better. pj rocks, the others youve mentioned are kind of getting old, too trendy, and nickelback's new song on the radio is pretty disgusting, they lost any respect from me.
