Yes, just a bunch of words put together that have no meaning what so ever. Now showing someone that they care for you and you are the one for them is sooooooooooo totally romatic and is the cool thing to do. My hubby and I don't tell one anther that we love each other (probably been about 2 years or so) we show our love and affection. We had those words said to each other in the past just to get our hearts broken.

I think the value of the phrase "I love you" depends on the person saying it. You can say it to any person that you feel any type of affection towards, and it will be meaningless. When you say it to someone you really love, then it can mean the world.
You can love just about anyone, but it takes alot to be in love with someone. There is a difference.

actually it's a phrase, but I think I know what you mean. Love is more than words. I could tell someone I despise that I loved them, but it would mean nothing.

It is a "phrase" but it has a lot of meaning to it. I think you should only say it if you really mean it. You love someone so much you would give your life for them.
