You know, for the chemistry and calculus classes you had to take in 1st or second year college? Or would it be better to get a high school guide for simplicity? I'd like to get one that spells everything out in the most basic terms and then gives "whys" and practical examples. Any suggestions of stuff that helped YOU?! Thanks!

From experience:
Get the schaum's books, read the chapter, solve the example problems and then solve the other problems at the end of the chapter. Before solving a problem, read it carefully, state what you know and what you do no know. Think what chemical or math principle applies to the problem.
Do the hard work for six months and after that those math and chemical problems will seem as simple as elementary school homework.
