The area usually consists of an entire room (or large space on the main floor) with free weights, workout benches, and machines. Men are prohibited of using this area, there are even signs that say..."women only." This is something that I find quite annoying and ridiculous. Women DO NOT need to be catered to in this manner. The fact is, most women seem to use the main floor including machines and free weights!!!! Often times, it's impossible getting a bench because WOMEN are sitting there talking or working out (I'm being fair...) Also, please note that there is no difference with weights or machines in these women only areas. Everything is unisex. Which leads me to wonder, does it have anything to do with the fact women are often in "sexy positions" while exercising, and that this may entice men in some way ??

So, what the hell is the deal with this ????? Do women generally pay more than men for a gym that features this "women only" area ?

None of you gave me an answer that already wasn't suggested in the question itself. Does anyone try to think anymore ???

I think that it has more to do with how self-conscious we are when we are working out. We don't want men to see us with our flaws. A private area for working out feels safer to us and I thinks the gyms are catering to that fact.

At my gymnasium, buyers are directed to do away with clothing and take a seat on a towel interior the sauna. even in spite of the indisputable fact that there is in many situations a mixture of bare adult males and clothed adult males whilst i've got been interior the sauna, i latterly had an journey the place a gymnasium worker got here with the help of to make certain that no person grow to be donning their gymnasium clothing interior the sauna. the single fellow who had shorts on grow to be told to do away with them.
