Does anyone else find this an ironic "kick in the face" to the folks of New Orleans? His son let's millions die, and he is there to celebrate their return? That was awful - the Bush family should be banned from there! It was like, "Hey, sorry my son let millions of you die needlessly for months and months, but I am here to say it is all okay now." Whatever.

When they announced that he was in fact doing the coin toss I was like Whoa! Why him...Im surprised people were cheering I thought for sure that they would boo him b/c they are unhappy with the actions of his son. But what I did notice was yeah he was the ex-pres and all but no one seemed to really care. The ref was just like whatever I have a game to start, and a few of the players went to shake his hand but he tossed it and then the ref pushed him outta the pic and it was done. He didnt have to be there. They should of picked someone like the mayor of New Orleans or something someone who was there and is still there for the people who had to suffer. Bush doenst know a day of suffering in his life!

Are you ******* retarded? First off, Bush did not just let millions die. He might not have done all that he could have done, but hell who predicted a hurricane to hit? i guarantee that if there was someone else as president, everyone would still be bitchin cuz they wouldnt know what to do. and even after that, George Bush Sr. is not George Bush Jr. and cannot be blamed for anything he does. So get a ******* life and post real sports questions here you douchebag.

Hmmm... I was unaware that Bush senior had the ability to control the weather, create hurricanes, and cause levees to break. He must be superhuman!

Also - most of the country was apparently misinformed that the death toll was about 1000. You seem to be the only one who knows the truth - that millions died!

You won't understand this, but you have a "victim" mentality. You apparently believe it is someone else's job to take care of you and protect you. The "victims" in New Orleans knew the hurricane was coming for days and they were told to evacuate, but like you they were trapped by their "victim" mentality; just waiting for someone to come save them. Survival of the fitest in action!

Millions died? What planet are you from? Millions? Maybe 1,000 died across the Gulf Coast after weeks.

Millions, you are an idiot.

Be careful or George Bush will send a hurricane to your house and kill millions more.

Banning people from the fine city of New Orleans? Shouldn't they start with their mayor?

I don't think The Bush family had control of Hurrican katrina, unless they're into heavy witchcraft and summoned up the storm. When all else fails, blame it on Bush. . .I do.

You have, apparently, forgotten that Bush Sr. (along with Bill Clinton) raised millions for Katrina relief. It was more than appropriate that he be there. Clinton would have been there too if had not been busy arguing on TV.

he was probably there because he & president clinton helped raise money for the people there. & it wasn't ALL he son's fault. the state & city government are more to blame than the president.
and millions didn't die, a few thousand did
