I haven't been there yet myself. I have sent a few clients on a cruise there that includes the Falkland Islands(Stanely). This itinerary also includes Antartica, Brasil, Argentina, Cape Horn, Chile, Uruguay, etc.

Are you wanting to go there just for a land stay? If so i'm not even sure flying in there is so easy if at all. I know from MSP where i'm at we do not have flights from here to there. Honestly I'm not sure if and where a flight could match up even. Mainly ones will have it as a port with a cruise. Here is just kind of an over-view I copied over that might help. From the ones I have sent on the cruise with this stop and seen there photos upon return it definately does look beautiful.

Stanley, capital of the Falklands, is a tiny British outpost where the absence of traffic lights and abundance of pubs in comparison to its size makes this a unique place. Indeed, armed only with hospitality, this rural community at the end of the world has no shortage of friendly locals.
Situated near Cape Horn in South America, the harbor at Stanley is one of the world's largest shipping graveyards of the 19th century. Many of the ships that set out for faraway ports met their destiny here, battered by Cape Horn's treacherous waters.

The Falklands is also a bird-watchers haven, with an amazing diversity of seabirds and mammals that breed in the Falklands — black-browed albatross, giant petrels, five types of penguin, elephant seals, sea lions, striated caracara, crested caracara, night heron to name a few.

If you do go have a lovely time. If you have further questions you can ask and I can try and help you.
