You have a better chance of falling out of an airplane without a parachute, getting struck by lightning on the way down, surviving the fall and walking away only to be struck by an M-1 Tank and living to tell about it than you do of winning the lottery...

My Dear Robert,

It is my professional responsibility to inform you that playing the lottery should be re-titled for what it is, "volunteering to pay state taxes."

If you buy $1,000 in lottery taxes, you are going to get back $600.

I can take you to a Sioux Indian casino a short drive from my house where you can put $1,000 down on 21 or on the craps table and get back at least $992.

You're volunteering to pay extra state taxes. Please stop doing that.
