Here is a hint.If you are serious , you can solve not only this problem , but other similar ones also.
We write a number as ab. Algebraically it is 10a+b. If you reverse the digits then it becomes 10b+a. It is really simple. Because a number , say 39 ia a shorthand for10x3+9. Pl try. Lt us see how far you can ggo. If you get stuck , we are here to help.

let the no. be ab. it can be written as, 10a+b.
when reversed, it becomes, 10b+a.
also, a=3b.
then,
10[3b]+b=36+10b+3b.
31b=36+13b.
31b-13b=36.
b=2.
a=6.
thus,the no. becomes, 26, when reversed and 62 originally.

through clean up it, do you mean getting it in that Ax+through=C variety? if so, you could clean the fractions through mulitpying everthing through 2. You get 2y=x-7. then you actually can only subtract x from each and each area to get 2y-x=-7 A is two, B is -a million, C is -7.

31a-13a=36
18a=36
a=2

3a=6

The number is 62
