Try to drink 1 half gallon of water daily.
While you cannot prevent acne, there are steps you can take at home to keep it from getting worse.
Gently wash and care for your skin every day. Avoid scrubbing too hard or washing too often.
Avoid heavy sweating if you think it causes your acne to get worse. Wash soon after activities that cause you to sweat.
Wash your hair often if your hair is oily. Try to keep your hair off of your face.
Avoid hair care products such as gels, mousses, cream rinses, and pomades that contain a lot of oil.
Avoid touching your face.
Wear soft, cotton clothing or moleskin under sports equipment. Parts of equipment, such as chin straps, can rub your skin and make your acne worse.
Avoid exposure to oils and harsh chemicals, such as petroleum.
Avoid long periods of time in sunlight, as this doesn't help acne and can increase your risk of skin cancer. Use sunscreens when you are out in the sun.

You mean you have scars from acne that you no longer have?
Scars take time to heal.
You can do microdermabrasion to help. That's pretty much it. Don't try stupid lotions or creams or anything like that. Diet won't affect scars.
To get rid of acne or prevent it from coming again:
don't masterbate
drink plenty of water
no junk food i.e. fast food, fried foods, too much chocolate, fatty, sugary stuff.
eat my veggies and fruits
get plenty of rest
put on new pillowcase every night (clean one)
wash face with Neutrogena every night, don't scrub too hard
rinse face off in morning only with water, towell dry.
get sun
get facials
don't rest your hands on your face, ever
don't let hair hang in face, ever
Good luck!

Be sure to drink lots of water everyday. Your skin will be refreshed and the scars and pores of your skin will be less noticeable. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Arbonne has a thermal fusion mask that helps diminish scars.

Um. First: eat right, such as a lot of vegetables and fruits.
Second: if you start getting acne, then go to one of your local
stores and look up "Tea Tree Oil" or "Tea Tree cleansing pads".
They really work.
