"Take time to think ... it is the sourse of power."

Whatever "moves" or "motivativates..." the "passsions" vary with everyone but the categories remain much the same... what I refer to as the self-security motivators - money, friends,power, etc. are the "lower types" that need to be satisfied to a certain level on "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" AFTER "the basics" - food, shelter, & clothing.

Thenn*, there is the search for truth & "high purpose" - your reason for "being" in this universe. Herein are the quarries that hold thew most impetus for change in a person's life. Our belief systems & "world views" are as varied as the bird populations on Earth: I see them as "emphases" or "held perspectives;" and when shared - given proper audience and also entertained fairly - expand our counsciousness by leaps & bounds. We can note here that acceptance & recognition doesn't necessarily equate with "tacit approval" for a specific time frame, but what is right for one point in time, may be far from "optimal" (or even 'adequate') for another point in time.

The real souce of power comes from your "acquired sensibilities" which stem from your willingness to go beyond yourself and conduct periodic "outreaches" to others for mutual exchanges & understanding... in short, DIALOGUE! I Now, this is hard to believe for some, but even the "bums" on the street, or those "down on their luck" have their 'truths' that are often overlooked. None of us has the market cornered on the truths of our existence... and we gain insight - and POWER - from one another.

Your question should be asked again and again... periodically, as it could be the title of a sizable book... I know I could expand (expound?) further on my basic assertions, but you get the gist... out collective intellect and somatic connectedness are the real sources of power for the human species... your question is a powerful one and I hope you get many thoughtful responces from it... Sadly, money is the answer. Not as a thing to possess but as a thing to motivate. It is a means to an end. Everyone has to have it and only a very few have as much as the need to live the unfettered life. These are the ones with power.

The ability either to inflict pain (the power of armies and police) or to grant pleasure. Money is power as its absense produces the first, perhaps in the form of starvation, and its abundance produces the second. Also, though, because, well, you have to pay the army and the cops as well as buy them weapons, so, in a sense, money may lurk behind that form of power too.

The source of all power and the source of all energy is the Absolute Truth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The Lord states this in the Bhagavad-gita as follows: "I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts." [Bg.10.8]

The universe is the source of all power, it transcends through time and space and evelopes all that is , all that was and all that's to come.

Any man/woman that knows where He/She came from;
Knows what they are;
Knows what they want;
Has the power to change;
And it is through change that true power is realized.
