I went to a little high school in a little town and, as it happens, I was very popular, which was very distracting. I was also a super dooper jock, so teachers would literally do my homework for me to keep me eligible for sports. The result being that, when I graduated, I didn't know the Pythagorean Theorem from a run-on sentence.

High school has more than populars and nerds. There are many different clubs and classes.

Jocks
Actors
Science Geeks
Math Nerds
Chess Kids
Know it alls
Dopes
Goths
Emos
Cheerleaders
and Normal people

There are probebly more than I've said, but you're not just a popular or a nerd. You're your own person. Be yourself.

I was a rather popular nerd...

Though technically I was a "Band-geek, Theater Troll, AV & Computer Club Nerd".

Cheerleaders can be rather polite (even sweet) when you're the one who has built the school's PA systems and know how to record, cut and edit tape (yes kids... once upon a time music was NOT done on a computer screen).

I was well known in my high school. We only had 150 kids total each year so you pretty much knew everyone. The first year and a half I hung out only with Seniors, so no one messed with me. then I was dating the lead basketball player on our basketball team, so I had a lot of people around all time. Then I started dating my now husbnad who was out of school and everyone there knew him and he always drove this car that was very well known around town, so needless to say I never was a prep but I was and still am always in large groups of people and friens with them all, usually car groups or biker groups!!!

Popularish, I was friendly to everyone and didn't single anyone out because of how they dressed or anything like that. I was even nice to the druggies, but I never hung out with them, I always said hi.
