I would like to save the message, but not the attachment.

you could forward it to yourself without the attachment, or if it's lotus notes you can just go into the body of the message and delete the file and then save it.

Some email clients allow you to modify the message without the need to forward to yourself or request the sender to re-send.

Assuming you are using Microsoft Outlook, double-click the message, click on Edit/Edit Message, right-click on the attachment and select "Remove". Once you're done, click on File/Save and you're done

Open the email... right click the attachment and click remove. save the emial with the changes.

you cant,,. it all stays together.. reply to the sender, and ask them to re-send the message minus attachment..
