No I wasn't a victim, but I did the only thing I was able to do and I did donate to Katrina relief. Katrina was a horrible tragedy, but I'm trying to understand why it is so much more of a tragedy than any other suffering that happens. People were starving and homeless all over way before Katrina and I'm sure they will continue to be. There has been an outpouring of support for Katrina, wouldn't it be nice if it were like that for all victims of poverty.

well i guess this makes me look bad but i wasn't effected by hurricane katrina more less a victim. And i havn't donated any money to any kind of donating places.

I couldn't believe a civilised country like the USA would let its citizens suffer like that.
While I take nothing away from their pain and suffering, the tsunami in Asia affected me more than anything I have ever seen in my life - and that includes 9/11.

i wasnt a victim but i worked at our local shelter where i met a girl and her family. shes 14 and im 15 so we got along very well. she lived with me at my house for 2 weeks and her dog, while her sister and parents went to Mississippi to see if anything was left from their house. then her family came back and stayed in a hotel for a few weeks but her and her do continued to live with us. she became my best friend, then she moved to arizona and thats wheres shes living now but i still talk to her everyday.

wasnt everyone effected by it? it has changed political opinions of many people. many people have died and it showed the worst of humanity. it was really ****** up.

not physicaly ,but had feelings for those who lost what they had. those who stayed instead of leaving when they had the chance-- well that is another story!
