buy a router (wired or wireless)...and some RJ45 cable (especially if you get a wired router)...you may need ethernet cards for your computers if you use a wired router (only ifyour computers dont have any) or wireless adapters if you choose a wireless router

plug the net into a router's "net in" slot, and plug the other comps into the router's "net out" slots with the appropriate cabling. Usually this is RJ45 - it looks like a giant phone-plug. A wirelesss connection to the router will not be as speedy as a cabled connection, but may be an attractive solution for people that require mobility.

Make sure you enable the firewalls on the router, and the individual comps.

You need to put your router onto the LAN. Most places will be able to supply a combined modem/router, so you just have one box which connects to the phone line and the network.

Then set each PC to use the router as a gateway (the instruction book should have full details), and there you are.
