Giambi's hurt, and may only make 4 starts at the most, and they could be limited and suck because of his injury.

Sanchez is sporting an extremely low ERA and that could help me if it comes down to a tie, and I have to win with ERA! (CHampionship) I've already been doing a lot of tinkering to my pitching staff, so maybe that's overkill.

Here's my team: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/271889/10?date=2006-09-27

You'll notice I have Scot Shields who's only a middle-reliever. He's probably going to end up pitching the same amount of innings as Sanchez, plus Scot's more solid, so I would consider dropping Giambi first. Shields is just as solid at ERA if not more than Sanchez, and I'm already leading in wins 8-4 after 8 days in H2H.

I've got a commanding lead on strikes, saves, and wins, so Shields is about as valuable as Sanchez.

yeah i dropped giambi too, championship week i have no time to wait for guys to return from injury

sanchez is a decent pick up - im not too sure you need shields on your team (he'll eat innings and lower whip/era, but his k/9 isnt great).. you're better off grabbing someone who might get some cheap saves along the way, wheeler etc.

all the best this week.

Well according to your team you have alreading dropped Giambi and picked up Sanchez.

None the less good move as Giambi will most likely miss another game or two and then pinch hit the last game or two before being healthy for the playoffs.

Yes! Anibal is peaking while Giambi is slumping.

If you want to then do it. There are only a few days left so it's not a life or death situation. More than likely it won't make any difference.
