This stamp originally came out in 2001, so it's really old news. It's been reissued with different values twice - the original was a 34-cent stamp, then it was re-issued with the same design except 37 cents value, and now it's a 39-cent stamp. It's a well-designed (even beautiful) stamp, and I have used many of them even though I am not Muslim just because it is so attractive.

I see nothing wrong with recognising Eid if we are going to issue Christmas stamps every year. (I would prefer NO religious stamps, but if you are going to issue stamps for one religion, then others should be recognised on stamps as well.) This stamp sells very well, so somebody thinks it's good besides me!

My goodness these people are so rude. What is wrong with a particular faith having a stamp to represent there holiday. There are all kinds of Christian and Jewish stamps. I am sure though if I was to talk badly of them like these people have of Islam I would get tons of hate mail. I am happy I don't stoop to these people level. I have respect for others and myself.

By the way I have seen and used them and I like them. I would not by a Christmas one and would not expect a Christian to by an Eid(Islamic Holiday) one. So whats the big deal. People preach freedom of religion in the US but they are not very tolerant of those who are different.

is this an american stamp? if it is, i dont think its good or bad, it's just a way for me to send a letter. i dont see how a stamp could be bad. i guess if i had to pick i would say good, i know i would like jewish holiday stamps (if they aren't already out, i don't send very many letters) i hope people don't get all antsy about a muslim stamp, it's really not a big deal.

What vacation are you speaking about? i do not see something incorrect with a Muslim vacation. There are a million billion Muslims contained in the international, and almost all of them are not to any extent further terrorists. ought to we get rid of Christmas from our stamps too? after all, there are Christian terrorists.

Have not heard of it. I would not but it. Does it depict them blowing each other up for no good reason, as they do in real life?

I would buy one, but I don't think Islam is worth 39 cents.
